Moodboard

Here is a mood board that I created. The mood board helped me consider the ways that different tower defence games demonstrate the same feature differently such as their interface, this was useful for me as it made sure later when I create these features I can refer back to the mood boards I created and use them as reference images, this way I can try to make the game similar to other tower defence games.

Surveys

During development of the game I created surveys asking players what they thought of content so I could find out if players disliked or really liked any content and get any suggestions, this way I could find out what players liked and try to expand on these ares or keep the reasons to why the players liked set content when I improved upon them. This also allowed me to find out which areas of the game players disliked and make any changes to areas, such as players didn’t think to highly of the pause menu because of this we decided to update the pause menu.

Thumbnail sketches

Here are thumbnail sketches that I created for my game, these were to help me gather ideas for the game while also being able to create a way I could show players ideas I was considering and to get their feedback on my ideas and suggest any improvements/changes to the game which was useful for my idea generation as I could actively get players views on content before I created anything that players disliked and needed to change them, this was useful as it could later save me development time to which I could focus on other work.img002img001

Mood board

Here is a mood board that I created to help me gather ideas into different areas of tower defence games as well as sources that use growth and evolution. This was useful as I could look at how different tower defence games create the same aspect such as an interface, this was useful because it meant I could consider ways our game could have the same features and which method out of the ones I researched out work best for our game or would best best to adept for our game.

Mind maps

Here is some mind maps that I created to help my idea generation of what mechanics I wanted in the game based around the positives and negatives of the games I looked into, and I considered why I would add them into the game or not. I also created one to help me with ideas for the shop items my breaking into the different categories that the shop could have, presenting my ideas in a mind map helped me develop my ideas.
